The EmancipatorETERNAL LIFE IS MORE ABOUT KNOWLEDGE
Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us. Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?
— John 14:8-9
It is obvious in the scriptures that Jesus came to give eternal life to mankind (John 3:16, John 6:47, 1 John 5:11-12). What has been challenging for the world to appreciate is the means by which Jesus brings mankind into the experience of eternal life. A careful study of Jesus' life and words, reveal that He came to reveal the Father. He came to make the Father's name (character and person) known to the world (John 17:25-26). This was important to Him because, contrary to the human understanding, eternal life is more about the intimate knowledge of God than any acts of human righteousness. If you saw Jesus, you saw the Father. And if you knew the Father through Him, you "had" eternal life (John 17:3). Change your mind and learn to know Yahweh more intimately by His Spirit in you. That is where the key to experiencing eternal life is.
Dear Holy Spirit, I turn my focus intensively to You that I might know the Father more in Jesus Christ. For that is eternal life. Hallelujah!
